Freddie specialises in general commercial litigation, with emphasis on construction litigation, banking litigation and insurance litigation.

He was seconded to our Cardiff office in 2010, where he represented some of Europe's largest financial institutions in defended mortgage litigation.

Freddie's recent experience includes:

• Successfully resisting interdict proceedings brought by the City of Johannesburg against a major bank.

• Successfully defending a claim against a major South African Financial Services Provider based on an alleged breach of mandate.

• Successfully representing a leading supplier of drilling equipment in a cross-border dispute arising from the sale of a drilling rig valued USD949 million.

• Successfully interdicting a seller from transferring a building (which the seller had sold to an Eversheds client) to a third party. The estimated value of the protected interest is ZAR25 million.
