Michal specialises in pro bono law.
Her recent experience includes:
- Successfully representing Biowatch South Africa in proceedings before the Competition Tribunal to enable it to intervene and make submissions regarding the public interest element of the merger between United States based Pannar Hi-bred Inc and KwaZulu Natal based Pioneer Seeds (Pty) Limited.
- Assisting 29 individuals in obtaining their trial transcripts through a court order, which some had been trying to secure since 2006. This matter has set a precedent in South Africa for prisoners, who have been trying for a number of years to obtain their trial transcripts.
- Obtaining a court order on behalf of Kitty and Puppy Haven in Alexandra in terms of which the City of Johannesburg’s application to close it down would be postponed, pending the outcome of its rezoning application.
