Lerato specialises in insurance and general commercial litigation.

Her recent experience includes:

• Assisting with the litigious aspects of a dispute between a group of insured companies against its insurers and reinsurers arising out of a furnace explosion at one of its ferro manganese operations in KwaZulu Natal.

• Assisting with the litigious aspects of a dispute between an insurance company and its employee arising out of withholding payment of pension funds in terms of section 37D of the Pension Funds Act, 24 of 1956.

• Assisting an insurer with the litigious aspects of a dispute between two individuals against a group of hospitals arising out of alleged medical negligence.

• Assisting an insurer with the litigious aspects of a dispute between an individual and attorneys arising out of alleged professional negligence.
