Dimitra specialises in general and commercial litigation, and franchising and aviation law.
Her recent experience includes:
- Involvement in various legal disputes relating to the Tannenbaum Ponzi Scheme, which involves major investors in South Africa and internationally who were lured into an investments scheme for the supply of pharmaceutical products.
- Acting for a major South African bank in a matter involving the recovery of funds loaned to the Government of the Republic of Zambia by the bank for the servicing of the pipeline and supply of oil from Dar Es Salam to Zambia.
- Acting for a major technology client in a matter involving a dispute in connection with sale agreements and faulty products. We were granted an arbitration award for our client for ZAR22 million with interest and costs, including costs of two counsel and the initial High Court action.
