Warren is head of the firm's commercial department. His main practice area is corporate and commercial law with specific emphasis on corporate finance, black economic empowerment transactions, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, mining transactions, venture capital and cross border transactions.
His recent experience includes:
- The acquisition of Tau Le Kou Gold Mine by First Uranium Inc from AngloGold Ashanti and the simultaneous capital raising to fund the acquisition with a total consideration of approximately US$300 million.
- The Black Economic Empowerment transaction for Standard Bank and Liberty Life.
- A complete funding transaction on behalf of China Construction Bank for a large blue chip listed company in an amount of US$300 million.
- A multibillion rand indenture issue for First Uranium in several countries worldwide.
- The acquisition of Trans Alloys by the Renova Group of Russia.
