Kate specialises in commercial and general litigation, in particular, in relation to construction and engineering law as well as matters relating to fires (including veld and forest fires), fire prevention and fire management. She is admitted to practise law in South Africa and holds a BProc and an LLB degree.

Kate's experience includes:

  • Acting for a South African company in relation to investigating and instituting claims for a number of large forest fires.
  • Acting for a number of South African companies in relation to investigating and instituting claims for the loss of movable property as a result of fires.
  • Advising a South African company on the construction of a multi-product pipeline.
  • Advising a South African company on a contractual dispute relating to mining activities.

She is a member of the South African Pension Lawyers’ Association.
