- During 2009 Eversheds advised and assisted Simmer & Jack Mines Limited and First Uranium Inc in the acquisition by Simmer & Jack of the Tau Lekoa Mine from Anglogold Ashanti for an aggregate consideration of ZAR600 000 000 and incidental thereto the disposal by Simmer & Jack of 19.6 million common shares in First Uranium Inc for an aggregate consideration of 90,16 million Canadian Dollars.
- During March of 2010 Eversheds advised First Uranium Inc in respect of its capital indenture issue pursuant to which capital of more than ZAR2 billion was raised for the business operations of first Uranium Inc.
- We recently conducted pre-audits in terms of the Mining Charter for Imerys South Africa’s numerous mines by using our in-house Mining Score Card to assess their performance and assisted them in improving their compliance.
