Introduction
Our personal injury department specialises in personal injury litigation, incorporating actions arising out of motor vehicle accidents, medical malpractice, public and product liability (as well liability of suppliers in terms of the Consumer Protection Act), insurance, assaults, shootings, unlawful arrests and detention, and all aspects of public and state liability.
The department has been involved in some of the largest personal injury matters in South Africa. The firm has been on the panel of attorneys representing the Road Accident Fund (RAF) for a number of years and, in recognition of its standing as specialists in this field, remains one of the RAF’s preferred attorneys.
Our team of highly skilled professionals regularly advises other legal practitioners and conducts lectures to candidate attorneys on behalf of the Association of Law Societies, members of Black Sash and to members of the medical profession. We also run a monthly clinic on behalf of ProBono.Org for individuals who have claims against the police and cannot afford a lawyer.
