Case study
The property and real estate practice area’s capacity to handle complex matters was demonstrated in July 2008 when we lodged 1325 linked deeds at the Pretoria deeds office for the luxury apartment development Sandhurst Towers in Sandton, Johannesburg – one of the largest linked batches lodged in a long time. In September registration of all the deeds into the names of the purchasers took place, which testifies to the attention to detail and diligence of the practice area’s professionals.
Sandhurst Towers, valued at approximately ZAR400 million VAT inclusive in sales, consists of 296 up-market residential units. The units were all sold out at the launch in 2004. The total habitable floor area is 31 371 square metres.
